Holiday Party Dec. 14 Noon and Award Nominations

We are currently accepting nominations for the following awards:

Nancy Sachs Memorial Award-for the Cincinnati Bridge Association member who best promotes Cincinnati bridge in honor of Nancy Sachs: World class bridge teacher and player whose dedication to teaching and mentorship profoundly improved our game.

Jerry Steuernagle Award is presented to the duplicate bridge player who best exemplifies the principles of ethics, kindness and high character in bridge. It is based on four favors; 1) contribution to the promotion of duplicate bridge 2)action in setting high ethical standards 3)compassion, sportsmanship and sense of humor 4) willingness to help less experienced players

Patty Eber Award to recognize exceptional service to the Cincinnati Bridge Association and to the bridge community of Greater Cincinnati.

Previous winners are posted on the plaques in the CBA. The awards may or may not be given every year at the discretion of the Unit 124 Board of Directors.

Award nominations should be sent to Awards Chair, James Danziger at  jldanziger111@gmail.com by Dec. 7.

Our Holiday Party will be Saturday Dec. 14. Come celebrate and play for free. There will no entry fee and it is part of the GOLD STAC and awards are colored points. The CBA Board is providing a main course and desserts, we ask you, if possible, to bring a side, salad or appetizer. Sign-up sheets are at the Bridge Center or you can email me with your partner’s name and what you are bringing. Food and Awards at 12 Noon and Game time is 12:30.
