In Memoriam – Sheldon Kushner

Sheldon Kushner passed away on November 17.  He died peacefully while in the VA Hospice.  Sheldon was well known and beloved by many CBA players.  He was 102 and still playing remarkably good bridge till the very end. He had a great sense of humor, a keen intellect and a love of bridge which was the highlight of his later years. According to his wishes no obituary will be filed and no funeral will be held.  In a very Sheldon like gesture he donated his brain to science. He had been involved in a long study of people over 100 who were still healthy and he agreed to do so while in the study. Sheldon  was a one of  a kind person who always had a smile on his face at the table. He will be missed at the bridge center. We were lucky to have him there for so long.
